Carbis Bay Hotel Lodges, Cornwall

This project, for a development of luxury beach lodges and suites at Carbis Bay Hotel, overlooking St Ives Bay in Cornwall, was made up of spiral staircases to the beach lodges and straight spine beam stairs to the suites.

All the bespoke staircases serve two levels leading up to the sundecks and in order to keep the rooms as bright and sunny as possible, the stairs have open risers to let light flow through.

The treads are pre-cast concrete in a white fair face finish. This complements the light airy feel of the rooms and enhances the muted coastal tones of the interior design.

Concrete Spiral Staircase

When it comes to staircase design, concrete staircases are becoming a popular choice. The material is hardwearing and can help reduce noise as well as look stunning. We developed five concrete spiral staircases for this project which suited the design of the building perfectly.
