Residential

Luxury home, Guildford

This designer staircase really made an impact in this new luxury home in Surrey. Unlike spiral staircases elliptical staircases do not have a single radius point, instead multiple radius points create an oval or egg shape to the curve of the stair with each tread being different.

In the case of this curved staircase the oval was used as a focal point positioned as it is in the centre of the property with a feature glass wall in front of it allowing access to countryside views from inside and hinting at the incredible feature staircase from the outside.

The specially imported stone treads blend beautifully with the plastered white curve of the inner stringer and the curved glass balustrade creates an elegant contemporary staircase which runs over two floors; really suiting the tasteful interior design of this high-end home.
